Ingredienser

Meatballs

  • 8 potato buttermilk sliders
  • 400 g beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 30 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Tomato sauce

  • 200 g tomato sauce (Polpa di Pomodoro from il Fornaio)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Filling

  • 200 g fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil (optional)

Fremgangsmåde

Meatballs

1. Mix ground beef with onion, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.

2. Form small meatballs and fry them until golden in oil.

Tomato Sauce

1. Warm the tomato sauce and season with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

2. Toss the meatballs in the tomato sauce.

Assembly

1. Slice the slider buns and toast them in butter in a pan on the cut side over medium heat for a couple of minutes.

Tip: You can also warm them in the oven for a couple of minutes.

2. Place the meatballs on the bottom half of the bun and top with tomato sauce.

3. Top with mozzarella and basil.

4. Close the sliders and optionally warm briefly in a preheated oven until the mozzarella is slightly melted.

Serve immediately!
